How does NCC Navigator work?
Australia’s National Construction Code (NCC) includes more than 1,500 clauses.
In any assessment, only a small number of those clauses might apply to your building.
NCC Navigator uses your building data, like the classifications, rise in storeys, type of construction and location to review every clause before it is presented to you. If it isn’t relevant, you won’t see it.
Step 1 – Your assessment
Each question you answer in NCC Navigator provides information that we can use to confirm if NCC clauses are relevant to your building.
- Assessment pathway tailored to your building – you won’t see NCC requirements that don’t relate to your building.
- Questions relevant to the stage of works – preliminary designs don’t need to consider detailed requirements.
- Use our ‘review’ function to allow a supervisor or peer review of the assessment.
- Use data from previous assessments to shortcut assessments on updated plans.
